People across my county found this question quite hard to answer. Some people don’t even think about the answer, and it even takes them a while to say something. Many people will immediately just say something along the lines of, “Because I want to”! So this means nothing, when you have no real reason, and you just have to because it is there, what is the point. What ever the reason is, there definitely is one, people just don’t let us know?
I came across some people who just wanted the time off work, and mumbled incessantly. This is the best answer I got, and can understand what people mean by this. If you really need to get away from your job that bad you are willing to spend your hard earned wages on a ridiculously expensive holiday, then I think you may be in the wrong job!
Now getting some time off work isn’t what i would say is hard for the majority of people, what are the weekend’s for? Meeting new people and living with a completely different culture, this is a holiday that actually has meaning, although not many people gave this answer. Finally an answer that sounded like they actually knew what they were doing, and why they wanted to go. I can understand that some people would be willing to spend money to experience a new way of life.
What really riled me was the answer that some people gave that read like this; “There isn’t much else around for us to do”! These are the people that just need ignoring. What do you mean there is nothing else to do, that makes no sense, of course there is! These people do hurt my brain a bit, and I had to sit down for a while after speaking to them.
But really, do we NEED a reason to go on holiday? Of course you need no good reason to go on holiday, if you want to go, just do it. Don’t let anyone else tell you any different.
For Caribbean holidays, Maldives holidays, Sri Lanka holidays, maybe you should visit a tour operator!
